About the Old World Podcast
The Old World Podcast is the unofficial Podcast for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and the original podcast to bring you both discussion and actual play in WFRP 4th edition. Learn more about us below!
Purpose
Our purpose with this podcast is to help listeners become more familiar with the WFRP 4th edition system and to help them become better players and GMs in this system.
Format
The Old World Podcast will be made up of two different portions, or show formats. That will include both a “discussion part” and an “actual play part”. With this format, we will create a podcast that will both talk about and play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th edition.
Discussion
First, we have the “discussion part” of the podcast. This is where our three hosts (and occasional guest-hosts) will discuss various topics related to playing and GMing in the WFRP 4th edition system. These topics will be varied, but will include everything from basic breakdowns of the core mechanics to specific advice and tips on how to GM specific situations that occur in this system. We will also eventually be taking listener questions and (for better or for worse) putting out our advice on the show as well. So, if you do have some questions, don’t hesitate to let us know! Actual Play
Second, we will actually have an “actual play part” of the podcast. In this section we will record actual WFRP gameplay sessions. We will do things both right and wrong as we put our own learning and advice into practice. The actual play will have an ongoing campaign narrative, but we will also be recording various one shots and mini adventures that will be both related and unrelated to the main campaign narrative.
